Biography
Tech House – Techno – Deep House – Minimal from Oslo
After many years of clubbing she got curious about DJing, so she started to spin records in february 2009. It didn’t take long before she was ready to play at techno-clubs in Oslo. Her style is mainly tech-house, deep house, minimal and techno. With her techy and funky sound she already had gigs at The Villa, Fugazi/Seeds, Fisk og Vilt, Turkish Delight, Sikamikanico, Skansen and several other clubs and underground house/techno events in Oslo, and in other Norwegian cities. She had a residency at Café Kaos once a month between 2011-2012. Faia, Tina V and MØRK are residents of the Femmes Fatales event at The Villa. They’ve had female guest DJs from Norway, Sweden, Germany and England at their clubnights and radioshows. Faia has been playing around Europe the last few years, such as Sweden, Spain, Germany, Manchester, London, Svalbard, and at the party island Koh Phangan in Thailand.
She has been on the line-up and played alongside high profiled DJs and producers as; Oxia, Martin Dawson, Nic Fancuilli, M.E.M.O, Pig&Dan, G-Ha, Nils Noa, Christian Sol, Charlotte Thorstvedt, Tim Andresen, No Dial Tone, Ida Engberg, Anna Messa, Per Hammar, Lottie, Djuma Soundsystem, Matthias Meyer, Gavin Herlihy, Fidelity Kastrow, Solomun, Attaboy, Esther Duijn, Uone Jack, Nastia and Danny Rampling to name a few.
Faia has done podcasts for several radio stations. With the “Femmes Fatales” concept, Faia’s had a weekly radio show on Pitch Radio in 2010-2011. No Dial Tone played her mixtapes on ‘RadiOrakel’ (FM 99.3 Mhz) several times, and she was streamed live on ‘Pitchradio.com’ from the Sommerøya festival 2010. Faia has also made an exclusive mix for ‘AvanCee FM’ at ‘Radio Volum’ at ‘Radio Sør FM 98,6 MHz’, and has done podcasts for ‘Essence of Sound radio’, ‘International Sound System’, ‘Radio Raptus’ and ‘Gin and Juice webradio’.
