Paul began to take his first steps as dj in the classic way: during parties with friends.
The decisive year was 1986: it was in that year that he was spotted by the dj Eddy Brando. He was interested about Paul’s performances and he directed him at StereoCittà 100.5 FM studies. In this way he found space in night mixed program with pioneers of this genre, like Maximum Artusi.
At Radio “Stereo Città”, Paul took the pseudonym “Paul Daniel”. Here, he met Mokadj (Open, Wag, La Scala) and other DJs from which he both gained knowledge and collaborates on evening organized by the Radio in many discos in Padova.
That was also the time in which carnivals had particular resonance, especially in the summer, so that the direction of the Radio would not let out the most significant.
There were collaborations with some service audio/light, from which Paul learnt the stage direction used during concerts, competitions and fashion shows, taking the opportunity to work also with Elisabetta Gardini in Padova (Piazza dei Signori).
Improved by management of techniques sound and light, Paul, as first-person, followed the sound system of the sites in which he performed as a Dj. He also had the immense honour of doing the “bull’s-eye” to Oreste Lionello (known to the general public for the television program “The Bagaglino”) during one excerpt of this show in the summer home of the Venice Casino Lido.
From 1986 to 1994 Paul proposed his musical selections at “Il Fungo” in Teolo. “Il Fungo” was a small club with a restaurant-pizzeria-style “old school”, in which many nationally known Djs made their appearence from the mid 1970s until the mid 1980s.
Experience in radio finished in 1990, but, in 1995, it started a new project at the “Woodstock Pub” in Abano Terme (PD), which was inspired from the old famous rock event.
At the “Woodstock” he began five important years: Paul dealt with artistic direction, selecting cabaret actors and cover bands. In 2000, he performed on Saturday at Sweet Basil Club in Albignasego (PD), with local features and testing rooms.
In 2010 a second artistic path began: it brought Paul to “Serale” restaurant and discobar in Pontelongo (PD). In this dynamic and evolving local, Paul cooperated with the boss in all the events using all the experience gained over the past years.
After that, he found space in the console of some bars and disco bars in Piove di Sacco and surroundings of this place, including “Suite53”, “Rendez Vous”, “Bar Diemme” and “You Bar”. Performing in the duo “DOPPIVERSI” (accompanied by the voice of “The Boss Ale”) and collaborating with various staff and DJs, Paul has arrived in the console of some major clubs like “Anima” (Tv) and “MioClub” in Dolo (Ve).
In 2012 Paul introduced a completely new event called “Deep Lovely” for the happy hour on Sundays at “Pavoni Bar”, in the “Piovese” setting. From here, a new experience has started, and it continues till now: Paul has taken the “Deep Lovely” on tour. In winter 2015-2016, this event became a regular fixed date on Friday nights at “Runway Coffè & Lounge Bar” in Piove di Sacco. Thanks to the collaboration, which began in 2016, with “Radio Canale Italia”, Paul Daniel has taken this event into the radio, making it even podcasts.
Paul Daniel DJ proposes a genre that go through the chill out, deep house, and finally to the sounds of tech house and even techno.
In 2014, he started a new musical experience that led him to create several tracks and publish them with very important labels:
- “What is Right” (Hotfingers Records)
- “Ready” (Hotfingers Records)
- “Sophisticated” (Baci Recordings)
- “I Can Fly” (Baci Recordings)
