Born in 1982, Roberto has grown up between his vinyl records in his uncle’s record shop and his father’s TDK Soul and Rock since he was a child.During his adolescence, he became passionate about Reggae music and Hip Hop: Bob Marley, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, 2 Pac, Dr. Dre, R. Kelly are just some of the artists who have a permanent place in the inseparable Walkman.At 15 he began attending the first House parties and immediately became Love.The same year, after an entire summer spent working as a seasonal worker in a factory to raise a bundle of money, with his longtime friend Rino J Silverio he managed to buy 2 turntables and a shabby mixer and began playing in small parties between friends.At that time, the sounds that fascinated him most were those of the Garage, French House, Philly Music, Latin House .. the djs he was inspired by, to name a few, were Louie Vega, Dimitri from Paris, Tony Humphries, Francois Kevorkian, Joe Claussell, Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles, Joe T Vanelli, Ivan Iacobucci, Claudio di Rocco .He decides to use a pseudonym, The Glove ”(the glove), as one of his favorite NBA Basketball players, because he believed that Music, the Vinyl one, should be treated and respected with the Gloves.From there, the love for this work and for the music was overwhelming; Love that led him to play in many Salernitani and Neapolitan clubs, but also in Lazio and Abruzzo, and that saw him divide the console with the likes of Dimitri from Paris, Oliver $, Reboot, Carola Pisaturo and many Djs of the Old Neapolitan SkoolOver the years, co-founder of the REDLIGHTS Party, Roberto has collaborated with many groups from the Clubbing scene in Salerno, including Gentle Night.Today his DJ sets are the perfect fusion between the Disco / Classic House and the New Electronic Influences The constant musical mutations increase the Curiosity and the Research in this Artist every day and keep the Love towards it more and more alive.
